Lim Taehee, Gyeonggido Superintendent of Education, received the highest grade (SA) on May 13 in the "2025 National Superintendent Pledge Implementation and Information Disclosure Evaluation" conducted by the Korea Manifesto Implementation Headquarters.
This evaluation was conducted across five areas for the 17 metropolitan and provincial offices of education nationwide: completion of pledge implementation, achievement rate of 2024 goals, resident communication, web communication, and pledge consistency.
Since Lim Taehee took office, the Gyeonggido Office of Education has actively promoted 65 pledge tasks in eight major policy areas under the vision of "The Center of Future Education, New Gyeonggi Education." These areas include: student-tailored education based on edutech, nurturing glocal convergence talent, student-tailored career and vocational education, education that leaves no one behind, the highest level of teacher instructional support, establishing a new autonomy-based education system, guaranteeing the health and safety of students and staff, and building a future-oriented educational administration system.
As a result, the pledge implementation rate for 2024 within the year was 99.3%, and the implementation rate during the term was 86.4%.
In particular, efforts to strengthen communication with residents?such as operating a youth manifesto action group, forming a pledge implementation evaluation group centered on resident participation, and enhancing the process for collecting residents' opinions?were analyzed to have had a positive impact on this evaluation.
Lim Taehee stated, "A pledge is a promise based on trust with the residents, and being recognized for faithfully fulfilling it is thanks to the efforts of all of us," adding, "Going forward, I will continue to reflect the voices from the field in our policies and push forward with education policies with a strong sense of responsibility so that each and every pledge can be realized on the ground."
