Goheung County to Hold Monthly Outdoor Cultural Performances at Waterfront Sunset Park

Until October... Movies, Bubble Shows, Busking, and Puppet Shows

Goheung County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Gong Youngmin) announced on May 13 that it held its first outdoor cultural performance at Goheungman Waterfront Sunset Park at 7 p.m. on May 10 in celebration of Family Month in May.

The area around Goheungman Waterfront Sunset Park is being developed by Goheung County as a landmark for Goheung tourism. This cultural performance was organized to allow local residents and tourists visiting the park to enjoy memorable and romantic experiences.

The event began with a lively atmosphere created by the witty remarks of the recreation host, followed by a sweet electric violin performance and a colorful magic balloon show, all of which brought great joy to tourists. In particular, the magic balloon show elicited laughter and cheers from children, further brightening the atmosphere at the venue.

An official from the county said, "We hope that this event will not only boost the popularity of tourist attractions around Goheung, but also help revitalize the local economy."

The Waterfront Sunset Park cultural performance will continue once a month until October, with additional programs such as outdoor movie screenings, bubble shows, acoustic guitar busking, and puppet shows. The next performance is scheduled for June 7.

Meanwhile, Goheungman Waterfront Sunset Park is equipped with an auto camping site (90 sites), a children's water playground, a performance venue, outdoor sports facilities (including four types such as a soccer field), nightscape lighting, and walking trails. The park also features large-scale accommodations, restaurants, and other convenience facilities, making it a highly regarded destination for visitors to Goheung seeking relaxation and rejuvenation.
