The Toray Science Foundation Korea is accepting applications for the Toray Science and Technology Award and the Toray Science Fellowship until the end of June this year.
On May 13, the Toray Science Foundation Korea announced that it would be accepting applications for the 8th Science and Technology Award and for scientists to participate in the fellowship program until the end of next month. The Science and Technology Award selects two scientists who have demonstrated outstanding research achievements and have made significant contributions to technological advancement in the fields of basic and applied chemistry and materials, granting each recipient a prize of 100 million won. The fellowship identifies five early-career scientists with distinctive ideas who are taking on new research projects, providing them with 50 million won in annual research funding for three years.
Established in 2018 as a public interest foundation to advance science and technology in Korea, the Toray Science Foundation Korea has so far provided a total of 6 billion won in support to 14 Science and Technology Award recipients, 30 fellowship recipients, and 210 science and engineering university scholarship students.
Application details can be found on the foundation's website, and the awards ceremony will be held in October.
