Green Umbrella Gwangju Headquarters Holds 'iLeader Launch Ceremony'

The Green Umbrella Gwangju Regional Headquarters announced on May 12 that it held the '2025 Green Umbrella iLeader Launch Ceremony.'

The ceremony, held at the Crystal Hall of JS Wedding Convention under the theme "A Future Drawn as I Wish," was attended by 40 Green Umbrella Gwangju iLeaders, their guardians, Gwangju Regional sponsors including Chairman Yoo Youngtae of the Gwangju Sponsorship Association, and a total of 100 participants.

The event began with introductions of iLeaders by field and sponsors, followed by a sponsorship fund delivery ceremony, the presentation of appointment certificates and welcome kits, and a business introduction by the iLeaders. After the launch ceremony, a motivational lecture was delivered by author Woo Eunbin to inspire the iLeader children, and all participants joined together to complete a drawing wall to support each other's dreams.

'Green Umbrella iLeader' is a talent development program by Green Umbrella that supports children with talents in various fields so that they do not have to give up on their dreams due to financial difficulties, helping them nurture their abilities and potential. The Green Umbrella Gwangju Regional Headquarters plans to provide a total of 380 million won in sponsorship funds this year to 72 iLeader children in four fields: 'sports,' 'academics,' 'arts,' and 'self-directed.'

Among the Gwangju region's 'Green Umbrella iLeaders' are Choi Daehan, a national representative in the 10m air rifle who participated in the 33rd Paris Olympics, and Yoo Minhyeok, a national golf representative.

Byun Jeonggeun, head of the Green Umbrella Gwangju Regional Headquarters, stated, "iLeader represents society's belief in the potential of each and every child, as well as a promise for the future," adding, "We will continue to be with the children so they can achieve their dreams."
