Financial Supervisory Service to Hold
"Senior Online Financial Golden Bell" Event
On May 12, the Financial Supervisory Service announced that it will co-host the "Senior Online Financial Golden Bell" event with the Senior Financial Education Council to improve financial literacy among people aged 50 and above.
This event is designed to enhance financial literacy among the senior population and to help prevent various types of financial fraud. It will be held online in four sessions from June 25 to June 27.
Participants will be able to attend the Golden Bell after studying online lecture videos titled "Financial Tips for Seniors" for two weeks. These lectures, provided by the Financial Supervisory Service, cover topics such as tax-saving strategies for pension savings, how to utilize home pensions, understanding digital assets, and methods to respond to financial scams. All participants who take part in the Online Financial Golden Bell, as well as those with outstanding results, will receive prizes worth a total of 3 million won.
The video educational materials will be made available to the public on the Financial Supervisory Service's "e-Financial Education Center" and YouTube channels (Financial Supervisory Service, Senior Financial Education Council).
