Pledging Commitment to Practicing "Integrity Starts Right Now"
The Culture and Hygiene Division of Seongsan-gu, Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, has implemented "Denim Day" to instill a strong commitment to anti-corruption and integrity.
"Denim Day" is an integrity initiative for the Culture and Hygiene Division of Seongsan-gu this year, carrying the meaning "Integrity Starts Right Now." The division uses denim tumbler bags to help employees reflect on integrity in their daily lives. In addition, the division conducts monthly training sessions for public officials under the theme "Integrity, Uprightness, and Wisdom" in order to eradicate corruption.
On May 9, all employees of the Culture and Hygiene Division pledged to create a flexible and horizontal organizational culture, just like denim that anyone can easily wear, and to practice integrity in every aspect of their work and daily lives without losing their sense of cleanliness.
Kim Su-yun, Head of the Culture and Hygiene Division, stated, "Going forward, we will regularly hold 『Denim Day』, our department's integrity initiative, and strive to become the leading Culture and Hygiene Division in fostering a transparent public service culture."
