This plaque was awarded in recognition of Councilor Shin's contributions to the promotion of local sports and boxing, as well as his efforts to enhance exchanges within the Asian region. As a two-term councilor, Shin has served on the 11th and 12th Economic, Tourism, and Culture Committees of the provincial council, where he has advanced various policies to promote community sports, expand sports infrastructure, and improve the health of local residents.
In particular, he has focused on expanding customized programs for groups with limited access to sports activities, such as the elderly and residents of rural, mountain, and fishing villages. He has also worked to improve accessibility to sports facilities. In addition, he has consistently shown interest in fostering outstanding sports coaches and strengthening their expertise to ensure the sustainable development of local sports.
Councilor Shin stated, "The power to build a healthy community comes from the passion of dedicated sportspeople," and added, "I will continue to actively reflect the voices of the field in legislative activities and strive to ensure that necessary support is provided in a practical manner."
