The camp of Han Deoksoo, an independent presidential pre-candidate, stated on May 9 that they are "observing the situation calmly" after the court dismissed the injunction filed by Kim Moonsoo, the People Power Party presidential candidate, seeking recognition of his candidate status.

Lee Junghyun, spokesperson for Han's campaign, said in a written briefing, "The important thing is victory in the presidential election," and added, "Nothing else matters."

Previously, the Seoul Southern District Court dismissed both the injunction filed by candidate Kim seeking recognition of his candidate status, and the injunction filed by Kim's supporters requesting a ban on holding the People Power Party convention.
