Baegunsan Healing Forest in Gwangyang Selected as 'Jeonnam Unique Venue'

Gwangyang City in Jeollanam-do announced on May 9 that Baegunsan Healing Forest has been selected as a 'Jeonnam Unique Venue' for the second consecutive year, following its selection in 2023.

'Unique Venue' refers to a 'distinctive place'?a location with unique local characteristics and charm, rather than a typical convention center or hotel. Such venues are suitable for hosting MICE (Meetings, Incentive tours, Conventions, and Exhibitions) events, including group incentive tours, meetings, and exhibitions.

Jeollanam-do first selected 20 Unique Venues in 2023 (currently, 17 are in operation). In the most recent selection process, which took place two years after the initial round, Baegunsan Healing Forest was once again honored with selection, recognized for its distinctive venue experience and strong regional representation.

Located on the slopes of Baegunsan, considered one of the most renowned mountains in Namdo, Baegunsan Healing Forest is highly regarded for its excellent accessibility?just a 20-minute drive from the city center?and its diverse forest healing programs. Visitors can enjoy meditation, breathing exercises, forest gymnastics, and foot baths amidst a dense forest of cedar and oak trees, making it a popular destination for rest and physical and mental rejuvenation.

Following this selection, Baegunsan Healing Forest will receive various forms of MICE activation support over the next two years, including the awarding of a certification plaque, promotional and marketing support, capacity-building for stakeholders, and expert consulting.
