Gyeongsan City to Conduct Mobile Integrity Inspections at Major Construction Sites

Gyeongsan City in North Gyeongsang Province will conduct a "mobile integrity inspection" of major construction sites in the city from May 12 to June 20, 2025.

This inspection will cover a total of approximately 110 construction sites, including roads, buildings, and agricultural infrastructure projects with a contract amount of 50 million won or more. The initiative aims to prevent various safety accidents caused by heavy rainfall during the rainy season and to minimize inconvenience to citizens.

The main focus of the inspection will be to verify proper construction in accordance with design documents and specifications, assess the implementation of on-site quality control and safety checks, ensure the removal of hazards and the establishment of a rapid response system before the rainy season, and address complaints and inconveniences reported by residents at the sites.

Gyeongsan City plans to immediately implement improvements and corrective measures for any deficiencies identified during the inspections, with an emphasis on preventing poor construction and budget waste in advance, as well as ensuring the safety of both workers and citizens.

In addition, during the inspection period, the city will conduct interviews with site personnel and complainants to enhance the perception of integrity, while also collecting a variety of opinions to improve transparency and fairness in construction administration.

A Gyeongsan City official stated, "Through on-site mobile inspections, we will prevent safety accidents and minimize inconvenience to citizens," adding, "We will continue to strengthen inspections to realize clean and transparent construction administration."
