Taking the Lead in Improving Aging Murals with Local Residents
Playing a Leading Role in Enhancing the Community Environment

Koscom has launched an initiative to support mural painting activities aimed at improving the local community environment.

On the 21st of last month, Koscom announced on the 9th that it had donated 10 million won in sponsorship funds for the 'Happy Village Mural Painting' project to the Yeongdeungpo-gu Volunteer Center. The mural painting activity was carried out to take a leading role in improving the local environment and to fulfill the company's social responsibility.

The wall at 93 Singil-ro, where the mural painting took place, is a frequently used path by children, teenagers, and residents near Sinpung Station. The exterior wall had peeling paint and discoloration, creating a bleak atmosphere.

In response, Yeongdeungpo-gu, with support from Koscom, collaborated with the Yeongdeungpo-gu Volunteer Center to redesign the environment and provide a pleasant and bright living space for children, teenagers, and local residents through the mural painting project.

On April 21, starting at 2 p.m., volunteers gathered to begin the work. Based on an initial sketch by the professional painting company Thegrim, the mural painting was completed over approximately four hours with the participation of local residents.

The mural, themed around the four seasons, features flowers, clouds, trees, and other elements of nature, transforming the street into a much brighter and more vibrant space compared to before.

Hwang Sanggeom, Head of the External Cooperation Department, who attended the delivery ceremony, said, "In January, Koscom also worked with new employees to paint a mural inside an elementary school, reflecting on the meaning of sharing and volunteering. We will continue to carry out activities to improve aging local environments and strive to become a financial IT company that contributes to the development of the local community."
