Gyeonggi Office of Education to Expand Opening of School Facilities... Discussion Meeting Held on the 7th

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is actively promoting the opening of school facilities.

On May 7, the Office announced that it held a 'discussion meeting between local governments and education offices' at the Gwangju Hanam Education Support Office to promote the activation of school facility opening.

This meeting was organized to revitalize the local community through the opening of school facilities. Attendees included officials from relevant departments of eight city and county local governments, including Gapyeong-gun, as well as officials from six education support offices, including the Gwangju Hanam Education Support Office, and a representative from the Icheon City Sports Council.

The meeting proceeded in the following order: an introduction to this year's plan for activating school facility opening by the Provincial Office of Education, communication and consultation among institutional representatives, and an open discussion session.

In particular, the Provincial Office of Education proposed that local governments actively participate in the following areas: signing business agreements to improve awareness and revitalize community sports for local residents; sharing and providing information among related institutions such as city and county offices; and expanding communication and cooperation to reflect the unique characteristics of each region.

The Provincial Office of Education plans to continue holding discussion meetings to promote the opening of school facilities, not just as proposals but as policies and practices. These meetings are scheduled for May 9 at Goyang Sharing School and on May 16 and 27 at the southern office of the Provincial Office of Education.
