Targeting 900 Adults Aged 19 and Over
Sunchang County in North Jeolla Province, in cooperation with the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, will conduct the "2025 Community Health Survey" from May 16 to July 31, 2025.
According to the county on May 7, this survey aims to assess the health status of local residents and use the results to develop health policies tailored to the specific characteristics of the county.
The survey will target approximately 900 adults aged 19 or older from households selected as samples. Professional surveyors will visit each household in person and collect a wide range of health-related information?including health behaviors, prevalence of chronic diseases, and use of medical services?through one-on-one interviews using tablet PCs.
The "Community Health Survey" has been conducted annually since 2008 as a nationally approved statistical survey and is regarded as the only survey that systematically assesses the health status of local residents.
The collected data are widely used for planning and evaluating local public health projects, as well as for developing policies to promote health equity. Respondents' personal information and survey responses are strictly protected under Article 33 of the Statistics Act. In addition, this information is used solely for statistical purposes related to the development of health policies.
A county official stated, "This survey provides essential baseline data for accurately assessing the health conditions of local residents and for establishing more effective public health policies," and requested the active participation and cooperation of households selected for the survey.
