Samcheok City Hall Athletics Team Achieves Double Victory at National Corporate Athletics Championships

According to Samcheok City Hall (Mayor Park Sangsoo) on May 7, Im Kyunghee of the Samcheok City Hall Athletics Team, led by coach Kim Wanki, played a significant role in raising the profile of Samcheok's athletics nationwide by taking first place in both the 5,000m and 10,000m events at the 29th Naju KTFL National Corporate Athletics Championships, which were held at Jeonbuk Naju Sports Park through May 2.

Im, who joined the Samcheok City Hall Athletics Team in 2023, achieved this remarkable victory in both events despite being in her forties. She has continuously improved her performance through systematic training and rigorous physical management under the guidance of coach Kim, which led to her success.

In particular, Im has demonstrated her strength in middle- and long-distance events, thanks to her strong concentration and stable race management. Recently, she was also selected as a national representative for the Asian Athletics Championships.
