Busan City Recruits Companies for Game Content Multi-Boosting Support Program... "Helping Global Market Entry"

From Content Advancement to Launch and Global Expansion:
Comprehensive, Customized Support Throughout the Entire Cycle
This Year, 14 Game Content Projects to Receive Support,
Including the Newly Established 'Global Crowdfunding' Category

Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Hyungjoon) and the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency (President Kim Taeyeol) have begun recruiting companies to participate in the 'Game Content Multi-Boosting Support Program,' which aims to help local game content enter the global market and strengthen content competitiveness.

This program, first introduced last year, is a demand-driven integrated support initiative that allows companies to select and receive assistance in the areas they need at each stage of development. It provides comprehensive support throughout the entire game development cycle, from content advancement to commercialization and overseas expansion. Notably, this year, the program has added a new 'Global Crowdfunding' category in response to company feedback.

This year’s support categories consist of three areas: ▲ Global Crowdfunding, ▲ Game Advancement, and ▲ Game Commercialization. A total of 14 game content projects will be selected to receive customized services.

The 'Global Crowdfunding' category offers support worth up to 30 million KRW, including crowdfunding consulting, page creation, and registration support, for content in the pre-commercialization stage seeking to secure funding.

The 'Game Advancement' category provides services worth up to 18 million KRW, such as graphics, background music, voice recording, QA, and focus group testing (FGT), for content released within one year or in the pre-commercialization stage.

The 'Game Commercialization' category offers services worth up to 25 million KRW, including localization and marketing expenses, for content preparing to enter new countries or that can be commercialized by August.

Applications can be submitted via email until May 20, and further details are available on the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency website. Additional recruitment for the 'Game Advancement' category is also planned for the second half of the year.

Kim Taeyeol, President of the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency, stated, "This year, we have strengthened customized support with a greater focus on company needs. Through the newly established global crowdfunding support, we will actively help local game companies not only secure funding but also lay the foundation for entering the global market."

The Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency operates various programs through the Busan Global Game Center, including startup incubation, content production, and overseas marketing, to support the sustainable growth of the local game industry.
