Hwaseong City to Provide 3.6 Million Won Employment Incentive to SMEs Hiring Middle-aged Workers

Recruitment of Companies for the "Middle-aged Employment Support Program" Open Until the 16th

Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on May 7 that it will accept additional applications from local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for participation in the "Middle-aged Employment Support Program" until May 16.

Hwaseong City to Provide 3.6 Million Won Employment Incentive to SMEs Hiring Middle-aged Workers

This program aims to expand social participation among the middle-aged population, who are often excluded from employment opportunities, and to help SMEs address labor shortages.

The program targets SMEs and mid-sized companies that have newly hired, as regular employees, middle-aged individuals aged 45 to 65 who have resided in Hwaseong City since July 1 of last year, and have maintained their employment for at least six months. Participating companies will receive an employment incentive of 3.6 million won per employee.

Each company may apply for employment incentives for up to three employees. The city plans to support a total of 95 people, allocating a budget of 347 million won for the program.

To apply for the employment incentive, the eligible middle-aged employee must be currently employed at the time of application. All business locations?including headquarters, branches, factories, and other offices?must be located within Hwaseong City. Companies must pay at least the minimum wage and provide the four major social insurances. The employment status of the employee must be maintained until the incentive is paid.

Interested companies may apply through the "Hwaseong Industry Promotion Agency" website. For more information, contact the Social Jobs Team of the Social Economy Division at Hwaseong City.

Jung Myunggeun, Mayor of Hwaseong, stated, "We hope this support program will serve as a practical opportunity to provide stable jobs for the middle-aged and connect SMEs with the workforce they need."
