Gwangju Bukgu to Host "Starry Night Camp" for Elementary Students and Their Families

On May 6, Gwangju Bukgu District announced that it will host the "Starry Night Camp," an astronomy and science experience program for elementary school students and their families.

The camp will be held three times in total at the Starlight Nuri Hall and exhibition halls of the National Gwangju Science Museum, with each session running for two days and one night (June 14-15, June 28-29, and July 19-20). A total of 180 local elementary school students and their families will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and participation is free of charge.

Main activities include making 3D pen keychains, educational sessions with astronomy experts, nighttime astronomical observation, and tours of the science museum's exhibitions. Bukgu District plans to prioritize families from vulnerable groups for participation in the first and second sessions.
