Kim Moonsoo, the People Power Party presidential candidate, who is facing internal pressure to unify with former Prime Minister Han Deoksu, an independent pre-candidate, will visit Daegu-Gyeongbuk (TK) and Busan on a one-night, two-day schedule starting from the 6th.
On the morning of the 6th, Kim plans to visit Yeongdeok in North Gyeongsang Province, which suffered major wildfire damage, to inspect the recovery situation. In the afternoon, he will visit Jukdo Market in Pohang to meet with merchants and have lunch. He will then visit the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Preparation Support Team in Gyeongju. Kim also plans to visit Hwangridan-gil in Gyeongju and Seomun Market in Daegu to gauge local sentiment and stay overnight in the region.
Despite growing calls within the party for a swift unification with independent pre-candidate Han Deoksu, Kim intends to highlight his status as the party's official candidate by carrying out his regional schedule. On this day, Kim also completed his official profile photo shoot for use during the presidential campaign.
Kim's campaign stated in a press release, "This photo shoot took place at a domestic studio where 'Faker,' the legendary League of Legends (LoL) player who is recognized as the world's top e-sports athlete, previously had his photos taken." In the photos, Kim is striking the same pose as Faker. The campaign explained, "This pose borrows from the 'final declaration' meme, which is currently popular among young people," adding that "it expresses the candidate's determined will and confidence as he enters the presidential race."
