Daytime Highs between 17 and 23 Degrees Celsius
Strong Winds Expected in Seoul Metropolitan Area, Gangwon, and Gyeongbuk
On May 4, the second day of the May golden holiday and a Sunday, the weather will be mostly clear across the country, but strong winds are expected in several areas, including the Seoul metropolitan area.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the morning low temperatures on this day will range from 4 to 12 degrees Celsius, and the daytime highs will range from 17 to 23 degrees Celsius.
The expected morning lows in major cities are as follows: Seoul 9 degrees, Incheon 10 degrees, Chuncheon 6 degrees, Gangneung 12 degrees, Daejeon 8 degrees, Daegu 8 degrees, Jeonju 8 degrees, Gwangju 8 degrees, Busan 10 degrees, and Jeju 11 degrees.
The expected daytime highs are: Seoul 20 degrees, Incheon 17 degrees, Chuncheon 21 degrees, Gangneung 23 degrees, Daejeon 22 degrees, Daegu 23 degrees, Jeonju 21 degrees, Gwangju 22 degrees, Busan 21 degrees, and Jeju 19 degrees.
Strong winds with instantaneous speeds of around 55 km/h (around 70 km/h in mountainous areas) are expected, especially in the Seoul metropolitan area, Gangwon, Chungbuk, northern Gyeongbuk, the southeastern coast of Gyeongbuk, and the coastal areas of Gyeongnam.
Winds along the east coasts of Gangwon and Gyeongbuk are expected to gradually become very strong, and there is a possibility that a strong wind advisory may be issued in these areas.
Fine dust concentrations are expected to remain at 'good' to 'normal' levels across all regions.
