Goryeong County in North Gyeongsang Province (Governor Lee Namcheol) has organized a cultural experience festival for children and families to enjoy together in celebration of the 103rd Children's Day.
On May 5, starting at 11:00 a.m., Goryeong County will hold the 19th "Goryeong County Hope Sprout Grand Festival" at the Daegaya Cultural Nuri Outdoor Performance Hall (or, in case of rain, at the Goryeong County Gymnasium). The event is hosted by Goryeong County and organized by the Goryeong Junior Chamber (President Son Hyun).
This festival is a signature local event for children, held to celebrate Children's Day by offering hope and joy to kids and strengthening family bonds. It features a variety of experiential programs, performances, and generous prize giveaways.
The event will begin with a performance by a children's choir, followed by a magic show, an award ceremony for exemplary children, delivery of congratulatory messages, recreation activities, and a prize drawing, all providing engaging and heartwarming content. At the experience booths, children can participate in programs designed to spark creativity and interest, such as caricature drawing, wood toy making, mini Bearbrick keyring crafting, instant photo booths, and balloon art.
Additionally, there will be free food booths at the venue offering rice balls, natural handmade jelly, popcorn, and more, which are expected to enhance the satisfaction of family visitors.
Of particular note, visitors who purchase an admission ticket for 8,000 won will receive a 3,000 won refund in the form of Goryeong Love Gift Certificates, which is expected to help stimulate the local economy.
An event official stated, "We have prepared a wide range of content for children and families to laugh and enjoy together," adding, "We hope many people will visit and create warm memories with their children."
