Live Gaming Experience in Wi-Fi 7 Internet Environment
LG Uplus announced on May 2 that it will operate a Wi-Fi 7 router experience booth at an event where esports fans gather.

LG Uplus will participate as the main sponsor of the '2025 Gen.G Homestand' event, which will be held from May 3 to 4 at Suwon Convention Center in Yeongtong-gu, Suwon. This event allows attendees to watch domestic professional league matches of the popular game 'League of Legends' in person and features various events where professional gamers and fans can interact. Approximately 10,000 visitors are expected to attend this year.
At the event, LG Uplus plans to operate an experience booth introducing its Wi-Fi 7 router, which was launched last month. Customers visiting the booth can experience games using laptops and smartphones connected via Wi-Fi 7.
The LG Uplus Wi-Fi 7 router is the first in Korea to utilize the 6GHz band, offering speeds more than four times faster than existing Wi-Fi 6 routers. Security has also been enhanced by applying the latest security protocol, WPA3, and improved encryption technology, which blocks hacking and password theft attempts.
The experience zone will also feature the 'IXI Photo Booth,' which is based on artificial intelligence (AI). Visitors to the booth can enjoy an experience that simulates taking photos with the Gen.G League of Legends pro team. In addition, simple games such as reflex tests will be held to allow customers to experience the fast speeds of Wi-Fi 7 firsthand, and an event will be held to provide LG Uplus's popular character 'Muneo' merchandise to participants.
