On the afternoon of April 30, Yeongdeungpo District Mayor Choi Hokwon visited the site in front of the Seonjae Public Daycare Center in Dangsan-dong to inspect the installation of a safety guard around an electric pole.
To prevent potential safety accidents caused by electric poles located in the middle of sidewalks and roadways, and to create a pleasant pedestrian environment, the district installed protective guards made of elastic material on electric poles that require a long period for relocation.
On this day, Mayor Choi Hokwon toured the site, checked the installation status, and emphasized the importance of meticulous safety management.
In March, the district removed an electric pole located across from the Daerim 1-dong Community Center to improve pedestrian safety. This year, the district plans to additionally upgrade a total of four locations.
Mayor Choi Hokwon stated, "We will do our utmost to create a safe and pleasant pedestrian environment through continuous inspection and maintenance."
