Mapo District (District Mayor Park Kangsu) will issue Mapo Love Gift Certificates worth 10 billion KRW starting at 2:00 p.m. on May 2, in celebration of Family Month.
This issuance aims to foster a culture of joyful spending with family and to revitalize the local economy.
The Mapo Love Gift Certificates will be available for purchase at a 5% discount, with a monthly limit of 500,000 KRW per person. The maximum holding limit is 1,500,000 KRW, and the certificates are valid for five years from the date of purchase.
The certificates can be purchased through the Seoul Pay Plus mobile app using account withdrawal, debit card, or credit card. However, certificates purchased with a credit card cannot be gifted or refunded, so buyers should be aware of this restriction.
The certificates can be used at Seoul Pay-affiliated merchants within Mapo District. The list of affiliated merchants can be found via the merchant search menu in the Seoul Pay Plus app.
Park Kangsu, Mayor of Mapo District, stated, "I hope the Mapo Love Gift Certificates make Family Month even more meaningful and bring new vitality to our local businesses," adding, "Mapo District will continue to promote various policies to support our residents."
