Chosun University AI·SW Education Center announced on April 30 that it had conducted the '2025 New Industry Sector (Digital Technology) Career Education Capacity Building Teacher Training' in collaboration with the Career Team of the Career and Academic Guidance Department at the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education.
The training, held at the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education Training Institute, was led by Chosun University’s Professor Jo Youngju, as well as student teaching assistants from the Department of Computer Engineering: Won Dahun, Choi Minhyeok, Cho Yunseong, Shin Subin, and Lim Chanhyeong. The program targeted career guidance teachers, educators, and education professionals from middle and high schools in Gwangju who are interested in new industry sectors.
The training was conducted over two days, on April 19 and 26, with each session lasting four hours and divided into two groups. The detailed curriculum included: enhancing teachers’ understanding of technologies and careers in new industry sectors; strengthening career guidance capabilities for secondary education in new industry sectors; and building the capacity to design and operate career experience programs in new industry sectors that can be applied in the field.
Professor Jo Youngju of Chosun University stated, "I hope that all students will have equal opportunities to receive AI·SW education and will be able to design their future careers by utilizing their talents."
An official from the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education said, "The case-based and experiential lectures provided practical support in strengthening teachers’ capabilities," and added, "We hope to continue ongoing collaborative programs with Chosun University in the future."
