Inspection of Sasong Complex Community and Woongsang Central Park Construction Sites
Boosting Local Economic Vitality Through Visits to Good Price Stores
On April 30, Yangsan City in South Gyeongsang Province visited the construction sites of the Sasong Complex Community and Woongsang Central Park, which are major ongoing projects in the Yangsan area, with a group of about 40 people including Mayor Na Dongyeon, city council members, and senior officials.
This on-site administrative visit was conducted to ensure the smooth progress of key projects amid the current grave national situation and to promote local economic stability and the well-being of residents. The main inspection points included the Sasong Complex Community development project, which began construction in January 2025, and the Woongsang Central Park project, which is scheduled for completion later this month.

The Sasong Complex Community is being constructed at 1163 Sasong-ri, Dong-myeon, with a total project cost of 49.2 billion KRW. It will be built on a 8,790.69 square meter site, consisting of one basement floor and two above-ground floors. This multi-purpose facility will combine a National Sports Center, a public library, and the Western Health and Life Support Center, offering a variety of public services in one space. The plan is to provide residents with tailored sports, cultural, and health services.
Mayor Na Dongyeon emphasized, "The Sasong Complex Community project is scheduled for completion in October 2026, and we will do our utmost to ensure that it is carried out on schedule so that local residents can enjoy improved health and high-quality cultural and sports services."
Woongsang Central Park, which was the next site visited, is being developed in Jujin-dong with a total project cost of 58.5 billion KRW. The project involves constructing an indoor gymnasium and park, with one basement floor and two above-ground floors. The project is currently in its final stages of completion.
Mayor Na Dongyeon stated, "Woongsang Central Park will become a new landmark that provides relaxation and healing for Woongsang residents and will inject new vitality into the area. Please do your best to ensure a high-quality finish that meets the expectations of our citizens."
Finally, as part of efforts to revitalize the local economy, the group visited Good Price Stores in the Pyeongsan-dong area and conducted a campaign to encourage the use of these establishments, which contribute to price stability.
Yangsan City plans to promote the use of Good Price Stores to create a more prosperous and cooperative local business environment. The city aims to reduce the economic burden on residents and build a community where mutual prosperity is possible. In addition, Yangsan City will continue to strengthen on-site and communicative administration, listening to voices in the field and working to ensure that substantial, tangible projects are implemented for the benefit of citizens.
