Shinhan Financial Group Listed in 'CDP Platinum Club' for Fourth Consecutive Year

Recognized for Efforts to Reduce Carbon Emissions

Shinhan Financial Group announced on April 30 that it has been listed in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) Platinum Club for the fourth consecutive year.

The CDP is a project that requests information disclosure related to climate change response from major companies around the world and publishes an annual report based on this data. It is regarded as the most authoritative evaluation index in the global environmental sector and is used as a benchmark by investors, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to objectively assess a company's climate response capabilities and transparency.

Shinhan Financial received the highest rating of 'Leadership A' in the '2024 Climate Change Response' category announced by the CDP Korea Committee, earning a place in the Hall of Fame for seven consecutive years and being listed in the Platinum Club for four consecutive years. Being listed for four consecutive years is a first among domestic financial institutions.

Shinhan Financial is expanding its support for green finance to help companies transition to low-carbon operations by establishing a 'Green Taxonomy Compliance Assessment System.' The group has also introduced the 'Green Index System,' which measures and manages carbon emissions generated during employees' work activities.
