[Conference Call] Samsung Electronics: "HBM3E Improved Product Samples Supplied... HBM4 to Contribute to Sales from Next Year"

On the morning of April 30, 2025, during its first quarter earnings conference call, Samsung Electronics stated, "We have completed the supply of sample products of improved High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) 3E to major customers," adding, "The number of customers purchasing these products is expected to gradually increase starting from the second quarter."

The company further explained, "Given the uncertainties related to tariffs and export regulations for AI applications, some fluctuations in sales are expected. However, after hitting a low point in the first quarter, we anticipate a step-by-step recovery each quarter."

Samsung Electronics also announced its plan to continue developing HBM4 according to schedule. The company stated, "We expect HBM4 to begin contributing to sales starting in 2026," and added, "We are continuing to make the necessary investments to meet customer demand."
