Five Ansan SMEs Sign $29.4 Million Export Contracts at the 23rd World Korean Business Convention

The city of Ansan in Gyeonggi Province announced on April 30 that local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) signed export contracts worth $29.4 million at the 23rd World Korean Business Convention held in Atlanta, Georgia, United States.

The World Korean Business Convention is a global economic event designed to support the overseas expansion of domestic SMEs and to strengthen networks with Korean entrepreneurs abroad. This year's event, held for four days from April 17 (local time) to April 20, featured participation from 350 companies and 16 local governments, operating more than 400 booths.

Ansan dispatched five companies: Cheongjin Biotech, Taesung Precision, ESChemtech, Doro, and UniRobotics.

Doro, a company specializing in educational programs utilizing robots, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on-site with a buyer from Uzbekistan and agreed to promote drug prevention education using robots at the Atlanta District Attorney's Office in October, in collaboration with the Coalition of Youth Against Drugs (COYAD) in the United States.

Cheongjin Biotech, a manufacturer of bee venom cosmetics, also had its products introduced by local media outlets.

Chae Chunglyul, head of Ansan's Industrial Support Headquarters, said, "We will continue to provide follow-up management and support so that companies can establish a foundation for sustainable growth in the local market by utilizing the Korean economic network."
