On April 29, Seodaemun-gu in Seoul (headed by District Mayor Lee Seongheon) announced that it will operate six free shuttle buses connecting to subway stations from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on April 30, the day the Seoul city bus union's legal strike is set to begin, as wage negotiations between labor and management remain stalled.

To support residents' transportation needs, two "Temporary Route 1" buses will run from Namgajwa-dong and Bukgajwa-dong to Digital Media City Station and Jeungsan Station, while four "Temporary Route 2" buses will operate to Gajwa Station and Sinchon Station.
Information on the shuttle bus routes can be found in the 'Notices' section of the Seodaemun-gu Office website. In addition, the district will minimize gaps in Seoul city bus service by reducing intervals between village bus departures and flexibly extending their operating hours. The district also plans to prevent confusion among residents by providing information through its social media channels, website, and text messages.
District Mayor Lee Seongheon stated, "We will make thorough preparations, including establishing special transportation measures, to ensure that residents do not experience inconvenience due to the city bus legal strike."
