14 Sessions Featuring Designers and More
Optimized Mobile Viewing Experience Implemented
Toss announced on April 29 that it has launched the fourth season of its online design conference, 'Simplicity.'
Toss stated that it has been hosting Simplicity since 2021. The conference is dedicated to sharing the processes and achievements of realizing the company's philosophy of creating designs that anyone can intuitively understand.
This season, under the theme "Beyond Reality, the Journey to Ideals," Toss shared case studies on improving user experience (UX). Fourteen sessions featured speakers from various roles directly involved in Toss UX, including designers, researchers, writers, and engineers. They introduced the challenges encountered and solutions developed during the service improvement process.
The presentations covered topics such as the development of 'Tosst,' a design tool that automatically generates Toss graphics in just three seconds, and case studies on improving app accessibility for visually impaired users. Attendees could see how Toss's design philosophy was applied to its products.
This year, in particular, Toss enhanced convenience by creating a viewing environment optimized for mobile devices. All presentations were structured in short-form videos lasting five to six minutes. Interactive features were added to increase engagement by allowing viewers to interact with the screen. The appearance and voice of each speaker were recreated as artificial intelligence (AI) avatars, adding an extra layer of enjoyment. Each session can be viewed on the Simplicity Season 4 website.
Meanwhile, viewers can participate in the "Apply for a Coffee Chat" event, where they can have conversations with the speakers. To apply, viewers can click the coffee chat application button on the final screen of each session video until May 11. The results of the drawing will be individually notified to the selected participants.
