Gokseong County Successfully Concludes 2025 National Sports for All Festival

Gokseong County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Cho Sangrae) announced on April 28 that it had successfully hosted two events?archery and aerobic hip hop?at the 2025 National Sports for All Festival from April 24 to 26 at Bangujeong and the Culture and Sports Center.

This year’s National Sports for All Festival, with Mokpo City as the main host and events distributed across 20 cities and counties, saw approximately 300 participants in the archery event and about 500 in the aerobic hip hop event held in Gokseong.

At this festival, which drew amateur athletes from across the country, the fierce competition for medals, along with the unique excitement and spectacle of each event, captivated spectators and generated enthusiastic response and popularity throughout the tournament.

For the festival, the county organized dedicated working groups for each area and worked closely with the county sports council and related sports organizations to provide the best possible welcome for both athletes and spectators.

In particular, the county strengthened its cooperation system with relevant agencies to prevent safety accidents, conducted joint inspections involving public, private, and academic sectors, and meticulously managed transportation measures and the surroundings of the venues to ensure that teams from across the country could compete in optimal conditions without inconvenience.

A county official stated, "By hosting this National Sports for All Festival, the presence of teams from all over the country during the preparation and event period has greatly contributed to the local economy. It also provided an excellent opportunity to promote Gokseong nationwide. We will continue our efforts to expand sports infrastructure, which is currently lacking, so that Gokseong County can attract visitors from across the country."
