The Korean Standards Association has declared its new vision as "a knowledge service partner leading the sustainable future of society and customers."

On April 28, the Korean Standards Association announced that it has established and proclaimed its 6th Mid-term Strategy, which will cover the next three years from this year through 2027, both internally and externally. This mid-term strategy was developed to proactively respond to the rapidly changing technological landscape and social shifts, and to provide a strategic direction for the association’s sustainable growth.

This mid-term strategy is a strategic declaration that the association will proactively chart a course for sustainable growth amid rapid technological innovation and dramatic changes in social structure. The association has systematically revised its mid-term strategies every three years, reflecting external environmental factors, policy changes, and the voices of internal members.

In line with its new vision, the association plans to mobilize its organizational capabilities around six strategic directions: leading future standardization and enhancing industrial quality competitiveness; contributing to social change and leading sustainable value; creating customer value based on AI and taking bold challenges; pursuing strategic digital transformation and operational innovation; nurturing future talent and strengthening core competencies; and establishing a culture of open communication and collaboration.

In particular, the association plans to focus on leading industrial standardization and quality management in future technology sectors that are critical to strengthening national competitiveness, such as AI, advanced robotics, semiconductors, and mobility. In addition, it aims to respond swiftly to complex social issues such as carbon neutrality, the strengthening of protectionism, and demographic changes, in order to provide tangible value to customers.

Chairman Dongmin Moon stated, "The Korean Standards Association will continue to fulfill its responsible role in enhancing the competitiveness of national industries and realizing a sustainable society, while proactively responding to the changes of the times." He added, "Rather than simply following change, we will continue to innovate and take responsible action as a trusted partner that prepares for change and designs the future together with our customers."
