Hamyang County Mobilizes All Efforts for Cheollyeong Cultural Festival Safety Management

Thorough Preparation Through Cooperation With Relevant Organizations and Pre-Event Inspections

Hamyang County in South Gyeongsang Province is making every effort to ensure the successful hosting of the 64th Cheollyeong Cultural Festival by convening a 'Safety Management Committee' meeting and formulating comprehensive safety management measures for the festival.


The meeting, presided over by County Governor Jin Byeongyeong, was attended by the heads of relevant organizations, including the police station, fire station, and the Office of Education. During the meeting, they reviewed the implementation plan for the Cheollyeong Cultural Festival and the safety management plan, and exchanged a variety of opinions.


In particular, the meeting included in-depth discussions on overall festival safety management measures, such as: ▲establishing a cooperation system among relevant organizations, ▲preventive measures against accidents such as gas leaks and fires, ▲measures to prevent food poisoning accidents, and ▲safety management plans for each program.

Prior to the meeting, a letter of appointment as a safety management committee member was presented to Hwang Changho, who was reappointed, and to Jang Geumhyang, the newly appointed president of the Hamyang County Volunteer Fire Brigade Women's Association.


Currently, the Hamyang County Safety Management Committee is composed of a total of 13 members, including the county governor as chairperson, and representatives from the police station, fire station, military unit, and the Office of Education. The committee reviews and coordinates disaster and safety management policies.


The county plans to actively incorporate the improvements suggested at this meeting into the festival safety plan. In addition, on the day before the festival, a joint safety inspection will be conducted with relevant organizations and experts from various fields to ensure on-site safety in advance.


Governor Jin Byeongyeong stated, "The Cheollyeong Cultural Festival is a comprehensive cultural and arts festival representing Hamyang County, and many tourists are expected to visit during the peak travel season. I urge all relevant organizations and departments to work closely together and prepare thoroughly so that not a single accident occurs."


Meanwhile, the 64th Cheollyeong Cultural Festival is scheduled to be held for five days from May 8 to May 12, 2025, in the Millennium Forest Sangnim Park area.
