Rising Expectations for High-Quality Travel
On April 25, Ulleung County in North Gyeongsang Province signed a business agreement at the Ulleung County Office with Shinsegae Live Shopping and Ulleung Cruise to promote tourism in Ulleung County.

The signing ceremony was attended by Nam Hankwon, Governor of Ulleung County, Lee Gyubong, Executive Director in charge of support at Shinsegae Live Shopping, Cho Hyundeok, CEO of Ulleung Cruise, and other key officials. They agreed to cooperate for mutual development, including jointly developing and operating specialized travel products for Ulleung County.
Through this agreement, the three organizations plan to develop specialized tourism products for Ulleung County, support sales channels for Ulleung County tourism products within Shinsegae Live Shopping, and carry out image development and promotional marketing for the region.
With this agreement, high-quality tourism products from Ulleungdo will be promoted through multiple channels such as TV, online malls, and mobile live platforms. As a result, changes are expected in the tourism demand base for Ulleung County, and the number of tourists visiting Ulleung County is anticipated to increase, contributing to revitalizing the local economy.
Nam Hankwon, Governor of Ulleung County, stated, "The key is to enhance trust in Ulleungdo tourism by developing substantial tourism products rather than standardized ones." He added, "Starting with this business agreement, we will strengthen our mutual cooperation system, discover excellent tourism resources in Ulleungdo, and do our best to enhance the brand value of Ulleungdo and introduce new joys and attractions to visitors."
