Through this agreement, LocknLock will support ecological restoration in Mongolia, one of the regions most severely affected by climate change. By creating forests in the desertified Biyanghangai Sum area of Mongolia, the company aims not only to restore the ecosystem but also to help climate refugees establish a foundation for self-reliance.
To achieve this, LocknLock will plant 1,004 sea buckthorn saplings and, next month, will organize a volunteer group consisting of both labor and management to visit Mongolia. The group plans to carry out activities such as planting saplings, watering, and engaging with local residents.
Oh Gichul, Executive Director of Pureun Asia, stated, "Planting trees in Mongolia is a sincere effort to revive the land at the forefront of the climate crisis and to genuinely support the self-reliance of residents who have lost their homes due to climate damage."
Lee Sangyoung, CEO of LocknLock, said, "We will continue to strengthen ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management across the company under the banner of being a company that cares for both the environment and people, and we will work to create a sustainable future for our neighbors."
Meanwhile, the creation of forests in the desertified areas of Mongolia will be carried out using a portion of the funds accumulated by LocknLock through donations to Beautiful Store.
