Nongshim Launches "Nurungji Pop"... A Modern Take on Traditional Nurungji

Nongshim announced on the 25th that it will launch a new product, "Nurungji Pop," which reinterprets the traditional Korean snack "Nurungji" as a convenient cracker snack. This product is inspired by Nurungji, a familiar food for Koreans, and is designed to align with recent trends such as "snacking," where people replace meals with convenient snacks, and "snackification of meals" in the midst of busy daily lives.

Nurungji Pop is made using glutinous rice as the main ingredient, preserving the unique nutty flavor and crispy texture of traditional Nurungji. The crackers are individually packaged at a thickness similar to actual Nurungji, making them easy to enjoy anytime and anywhere. In addition, as a gluten-free product, it can be enjoyed without concern by consumers who need to manage their diets.


A Nongshim representative stated, "Nurungji Pop was developed in line with the new trend of replacing meals with snacks," and added, "Nongshim has pioneered new snack categories such as the drinking snack Mektaekkang and the bakery snack Bbangbujang. With Nurungji Pop, we plan to strengthen our presence in the meal replacement snack market as well."
