Gyeonggi Job Foundation Launches Initiative to Train Mobility Professionals

The Gyeonggi Job Foundation is launching an initiative to train professionals who will lead the future mobility era.

On April 25, the foundation announced that it will establish and operate educational programs in electric vehicle maintenance, electric energy, and smart manufacturing in partnership with Gyeonggi College of Science and Technology, Seoyoung University, and Seojeong University (Korea Rebuilding Association).

The training will focus on skills required in industrial settings, such as electric vehicles, electric vehicle charging facilities, robots, and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers). The curriculum combines theory and hands-on practice, and upon completion, participants will receive support for job placement with related companies.

The courses will be held for six months, from May to October, at universities in Siheung, Yangju, and Paju, which were selected through a screening process. Any unemployed resident of Gyeonggi Province aged 19 or older is eligible to apply. Applications can be submitted through the Gyeonggi Job Foundation's Jobaba Apply website (https://apply.jobaba.net) until May 9. Final participants will be selected through an interview process.

Lee Jinhee, Director of the Convergence Talent Division at the Gyeonggi Job Foundation, stated, "We plan to actively support participants in acquiring the skills demanded by future industries such as electric vehicles, electric energy, and smart manufacturing, in collaboration with universities equipped with excellent advanced infrastructure in the province, and to help them connect to employment opportunities. We hope that many young people and job seekers will grow into future industry leaders through this program, and the Gyeonggi Job Foundation will continue to expand such educational initiatives."
