The 2nd Seminar of the Broadcasting Video Leaders Forum to Be Held
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency will hold the 2nd seminar of the 2025 Broadcasting Video Leaders Forum at the Content Korea Lab (CKL) Enterprise Support Center on April 25. Under the theme of "The Impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology Advancement on the Broadcasting Video and Advertising Industry," the event will feature presentations and discussions with invited experts in the field.
Cho Youngshin, former Head of Growth Strategy Group at SK Broadband, will report on the current status of AI utilization by domestic broadcasters and production companies under the topic "AI and Changes in Legacy Content Providers," and will present future directions based on overseas cases. In addition, he will propose AI utilization strategies for traditional broadcasting companies and examine the growth potential of short-form drama content and platforms.
Park Chansu, CEO of HS Ad, will discuss "Changes and Prospects for the Advertising Industry in the AI Era," introducing the evolving trends in advertising video content production. He will review how the key competitive factor for companies has shifted from AI technology utilization capabilities to the completeness of content, and discuss the essential requirements for success.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism plans to incorporate the insights from these experts into future policy. Lim Seonghwan, Director General of the Media Policy Bureau, stated, "We will support our content industry so that it can enhance its global competitiveness through the use of AI."
This year, the ministry will support video production necessary for AI-based video content planning, development, and investment attraction. It will also introduce regular courses and special seminars on the utilization of AI technology in broadcasting video content at specialized graduate schools for online video service (OTT) content. In addition, the ministry will strengthen its advertising professional training programs to foster convergent talent equipped with both planning/creative and practical technical skills.
