Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center to Open "Physical Therapy Room" at Anseong Rest Area Clinic in June

On the 23rd, Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center signed a business agreement on the establishment and operation of the physical therapy room at Gyeonggi Provincial Anseong Rest Area Clinic with the Cargo Welfare Foundation and Korea Expressway Corporation Seoul Gyeonggi Headquarters at Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center in Suwon City.


This agreement was prepared to provide professional physical therapy services to truck drivers, travelers using highway rest areas, and residents of nearby medically underserved areas.


According to the agreement, the three organizations will cooperate in various areas, including: providing business subsidies for the operation of the physical therapy room; continuous follow-up management for musculoskeletal diseases among truck drivers; joint promotion to encourage the use of physical therapy services and the clinic; stable recruitment of professional personnel and equipment and improvement of quality; and the establishment of a community health safety net.

The physical therapy room at Gyeonggi Provincial Anseong Rest Area Clinic is scheduled to officially open in June.


Lee Pilsoo, President of Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center, said, "I hope this agreement will serve as a model case for public healthcare cooperation," and added, "We will do our utmost to realize the health of Gyeonggi residents."


Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center plans to continue strengthening strategic alliances for the expansion of public healthcare and improvement of regional health, and to continuously expand the health safety net for residents through cooperation with various community organizations.
