The Department of Defense Industry at Kangnam Jeongbo University recently held a special career lecture in the defense industry sector as part of its 'K-Defense Industry Insight' program.

The lecture was delivered by Lee Jaesung, an instructor who served in the Navy for over 20 years and is currently employed at Hanwha Ocean. He offered practical advice on how military experience can be connected to the private sector. He explained the practical skills required in the defense industry and employment strategies, focusing on real-life examples.

In particular, he shared concrete and practical information on job types in the defense industry suitable for those with military backgrounds, ways to adapt to corporate culture, and tips for interview preparation, which received a positive response from the students.

Lee Jiyeon, head of the Department of Defense Industry, said, "This special lecture was a valuable opportunity to explore ways to expand military experience into the private sector," adding, "We will continue to offer various programs to help students understand the defense industry and clarify their career paths."

Established this year, the Department of Defense Industry at Kangnam Jeongbo University is strengthening field-oriented education with the goal of nurturing professionals in the defense and defense industry sectors. The department offers both in-person and online classes and operates customized curricula to improve learning accessibility for active-duty military personnel and working professionals.
