Rain Expected Until Dawn... Temperature Difference Around 15 Degrees
On April 23, the daytime high in Seoul is expected to reach 25 degrees Celsius. As the temperature difference between day and night will be around 15 degrees, people are advised to take care of their health.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on April 22, the morning low on April 20 is forecast to be between 8 and 16 degrees Celsius, while the daytime high will range from 14 to 35 degrees, about 2 to 4 degrees higher than average. In regions such as the Seoul metropolitan area, inland Gangwon, and North Chungcheong, the temperature difference between day and night is expected to be around 15 degrees.
The Seoul metropolitan area and western Gangwon are expected to be mostly clear, while other regions will be mostly cloudy. Rain is expected until dawn in eastern and mountainous areas of Gangwon, the eastern coastal region of Gyeongsang, and Jeju Island.
In the Chungcheong region and other parts of southern Korea, less than 0.1 mm of precipitation is expected in the early morning, while in eastern Jeolla, western inland South Gyeongsang, and Jeju Island, similar amounts are expected in the afternoon. From April 22 to early morning on April 23, the expected precipitation is 5 to 20 mm in Ulsan, 5 to 10 mm in the eastern and mountainous areas of Gangwon, the eastern coast of North Gyeongsang, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo, and less than 5 mm in Jeju Island.
The concentration of fine dust is forecast to remain at a 'good' level nationwide.
Waves in the sea are expected to reach 1.0 to 3.5 meters off the east coast, 0.5 to 1.5 meters off the west coast, and 0.5 to 3.5 meters off the south coast.
In the offshore areas (up to about 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are predicted to be 1.0 to 4.0 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the West Sea, and 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the South Sea.
In the southern offshore area of the West Sea, strong winds of 9 to 16 meters per second and very high waves are expected until dawn. In the eastern offshore area of the South Sea and off the coast of Busan, similar conditions are expected until the afternoon. In the southern part of the offshore area of the East Sea, these conditions are expected to persist until night.
