Three Training Sessions from May to August
Support for Professional Certification and Employment or Entrepreneurship
Gijang County (Governor Jung Jongbok) has been selected for the "2025 District-Specific Job Creation Support Project" hosted by Busan City and will operate the "AI Urban Smart Farm Workforce Training Program" starting May 8.
The "AI Urban Smart Farm Workforce Training Program" targets older adults, including those considering returning to farming after retirement, and provides training based on smart farm technologies. The program supports participants in acquiring professional certifications and finding employment or starting businesses. The Busan Information Technology Association, a non-profit organization, is participating as the implementing agency and will operate the training courses.
Beginning with the first session on May 8, a total of three training sessions will be held through August 12. The program is open to Busan residents aged 50 and older who are seeking employment, with priority given to residents of Gijang County.
The training is provided free of charge and consists of 100 hours covering ▲ smart farm and artificial intelligence theory ▲ smart farm cultivation practice ▲ smart farm field trips and business plan writing. Post-program support such as employment and entrepreneurship counseling is also offered to help connect participants with job opportunities.
The selection process for the first session of trainees is currently underway. For more details about the program, please refer to the announcements on the Gijang County website or contact the Busan Information Technology Association.
