The revised regulations stipulate the obligation to secure dedicated personnel for the year-round, 24-hour operation and maintenance of the Yangpyeong County Disaster Safety Situation Room. They also establish a smooth continuous work system and update the work rules for situation room staff to reflect current realities. In addition, the disaster management system of Yangpyeong County has been reorganized by designating a director-level official as the person in charge of disaster safety management in case of emergencies such as large-scale disasters.

In particular, the disaster situation workroom has been rebuilt to enable more rapid responses to various disaster situations. The existing night situation workroom has been completely overhauled so that the internal operations of the disaster situation room can be monitored intuitively. This allows for real-time inspection and control of 10 drainage pump stations. In addition, the county has enhanced its system for protecting residents' lives by enabling remote management of 57 disaster broadcasting facilities installed in mountainous and valley areas and 31 village wireless broadcasting facilities (serving about 1,530 households), as well as by enabling immediate evacuation and response through rapid disaster text messaging.

Jeon Jinseon, Governor of Yangpyeong County, stated, "Recently, Korea's weather conditions have become difficult to predict, with terms like 'unprecedented' and 'record-breaking' now fitting the situation. More than ever, we must maintain a constant state of readiness to minimize disaster damage." He added, "The main goal of the 8th popularly elected county administration is to make Yangpyeong a safe city with a focus on safety, and we plan to take the lead in this effort. We will build a disaster-resilient Yangpyeong and do our utmost to ensure the safety of local residents."
