On April 22, Lotte Ventures announced that it would be holding the 'L-CAMP Silicon Valley 4th Program' in Silicon Valley, United States, from the 21st to the 25th, to support domestic startups seeking to enter the US market.
L-CAMP Silicon Valley is a global acceleration program designed to help domestic startups hoping to expand into the US market with their global business ambitions. Lotte Ventures has been supporting startups in their overseas expansion efforts in order to carry on the pioneering global spirit of Lotte founder Shin Kyuk-ho, known as a 'first-generation global entrepreneur.' Since its first cohort in 2021, a total of 32 startups have participated in the first three rounds of L-CAMP Silicon Valley. The event features networking opportunities with local investors and related organizations, as well as lectures from experienced entrepreneurs.

This fourth cohort includes seven startups engaged in fields such as cloud, semiconductors, robotics, and digital healthcare. Lotte Ventures selected the participating companies by evaluating their potential, expansion plans, and commercialization capabilities, with a focus on their prospects for overseas growth. Leveraging the network of its US branch, Lotte Ventures has also expanded the number of investors attending the IR (Investor Relations) event to 70, more than three times the number at previous events.
On the first day, April 21, a panel discussion titled 'L-CAMP Silicon Valley: Korean Founders & Venture Capital' was held to share insights on entering the US market and attracting investment. The session was moderated by Junyoung Ahn, head of Lotte Ventures' US branch, and featured panelists from local venture capital firms with extensive startup investment experience, including LFX Venture Partners, Broadway Venture Partners, and Cathay Innovation. During the discussion, the panelists addressed topics such as how local investors evaluate companies, risk management strategies for startups entering the market, and ways to overcome cultural barriers.
The participating startups delivered IR presentations outlining their business items and plans for US expansion. Local venture investors with relevant business interests were invited to facilitate genuine investment opportunities.
From the second day onward, the program includes lectures and workshops led by experienced entrepreneurs who have launched businesses in Silicon Valley or entered the US market. Speakers include Yura Hwang, Head of Partnerships for the Asia-Pacific region at Perplexity, Jinwoo Kim, CEO of Liner, Donghee Lee, CEO of Syncly, and Sehyuk Park, CIO of Moloco, who will share practical know-how on entering the US market from the perspective of early-stage startups. In addition, there will be lectures by Taehee Nam, CEO of Storm Ventures, who has invested in about 200 companies in Silicon Valley, and Kiyong Han, adjunct professor at San Jose State University, who brings nearly 29 years of experience across large corporations, startup founding, and angel investing.
Seungwook Kim, CEO of Lotte Ventures, stated, "Lotte Ventures is building local networks through our US branch, Vietnam office, and Lotte Ventures Japan, and we are preparing cross-border startup support programs. Based on this, we will continue to identify domestic startups with overseas expansion potential and provide full support for successful overseas entry, including local network building and investment attraction."
Meanwhile, during the event period, the participating startups will also attend the 'Deep Konnect 2025' event to meet with local venture capitalists and industry professionals.
