"Collaboration in Preparation for the 'Integrated Care Support Act' Taking Effect Next Year"

Gwangju Social Service Center (Director Kim Daesam) announced on the 22nd that it had signed a mutual cooperation agreement with Gwangju Christian Hospital (Director Lee Seungwook) on the 21st at Gwangju Christian Hospital to promote the development of public care and public health services.
Through this agreement, the two organizations have established a shared goal to create a community without gaps in care and medical services by collaborating in preparation for the implementation of the "Integrated Care Support Act," which will take effect in March next year.
The agreement includes: ▲ implementation of cooperative projects in public care and essential health services (such as connecting discharged patients with community resources), ▲ establishment of a cooperative system among public health institutions, ▲ education and training to strengthen the capacity of local health personnel, and ▲ other matters deemed necessary for the advancement of local public health and public care.
Through their cooperation, the two organizations plan to provide emergency care services and support discharged patients in returning to daily life, as well as offer education to care workers on patient-specific characteristics (such as understanding of diseases), thereby strengthening the capabilities of care services.
Kim Daesam, Director of Gwangju Social Service Center, stated, "Care and healthcare are inseparable from each other," and added, "Through this agreement, both organizations will actively work to ensure that efforts range from disease prevention to improving the quality of care services."
