Yeongpung Seokpo Smelter Conducts Employee Safety Training at Jecheon Safety Experience Center

Enhancing On-Site Response Capabilities Through Safety Training During Suspension Period

Yeongpung announced on the 21st that employees of the Seokpo Smelter participated in safety training and experiential activities at the Jecheon Safety Experience Training Center operated by the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency.

The training was held a total of four times during the suspension of operations period, starting from February 26. Each session had 25 participants, with approximately 100 employees in total. The program consisted of 30 minutes of theoretical instruction and 1 hour and 30 minutes of hands-on experience, totaling two hours per session.


The training, led by professional instructors, focused on safety rules and response methods to prepare for hazardous situations that may occur in actual industrial settings. Learning was conducted through immersive content such as fall simulations, fire alarm system operations, falling object impact simulations, and VR experiences.


Yeongpung Seokpo Smelter plans to continue providing hands-on safety training in collaboration with external professional organizations, reflecting the feedback from employees who participated in this program. A company representative stated, "We will continue to make every effort to foster a sustainable industrial safety culture in the future."
