The Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs (TIPA) announced on April 22 that it had achieved the highest "Excellent" grade for the second consecutive year in the 2024 Public Institution Win-Win Growth Evaluation conducted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. The Public Institution Win-Win Growth Evaluation has been in place since 2007 to encourage public institutions to take a leading role in win-win growth and cooperation, and to spread a culture of mutual prosperity.
In this year's evaluation, TIPA was recognized for its efforts not only in carrying out its core initiatives such as industry-academia-research collaboration and technology development and commercialization support between large and small-to-medium enterprises, but also for fostering a culture of fair trade and supporting overseas market expansion to enable the sustainable growth of partner companies. TIPA has taken the lead in promoting a culture of win-win growth through multifaceted support, including: establishing a multi-ministerial collaboration system to respond to regional extinction; providing low-interest financing in cooperation with private banks; and supporting after-sales service, market development, and labor consulting for companies adopting smart factories.
Kim Youngshin, President of TIPA, stated, "Achieving the highest grade for two consecutive years is the result of our institution's continuous efforts to realize win-win growth with SMEs," adding, "We will continue to drive the growth and innovation of our partners through various initiatives and fulfill our responsibility as a public institution for mutual prosperity."
