On April 22, artificial intelligence (AI) company BQAI announced that it has obtained certification as an innovation-driven venture company from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
This certification is seen as a significant achievement that officially recognizes BQAI's technological innovation and business growth potential. The company is now expected to further strengthen its position in the AI market by developing not only data, but also AI technologies and services.
The venture company certification is a national system in which a government-designated venture company verification agency certifies outstanding venture companies that have passed a rigorous evaluation based on 14 criteria by a professional evaluation organization and the Venture Company Verification Committee. The evaluation comprehensively examines factors such as technological capability, business potential, patents, and human resources.
Because this certification is granted only to promising companies with high growth potential, recipients must pass a strict screening process, including on-site inspections and multi-faceted evaluations of their business operations and internal and external organization. Through this certification, BQAI has demonstrated its proprietary technological capabilities and market competitiveness to the public.
With this innovation-driven venture company certification, BQAI will receive various benefits, including preferential access to policy funds, designation for priority patent examination, expanded eligibility and limits for stock options, and support for TV and radio advertising production costs.
BQAI is expanding its value chain by integrating data, technology, and services, positioning itself as a leading AI service company. Recently, its news RAG model 'RDP1' received high marks in 'RAGAS,' a benchmark for evaluating the performance of LLM and RAG, further demonstrating its excellence.
In addition, following the enactment of the AI Basic Act at the end of last year and the renewed focus on AI copyright infringement issues, BQAI is expected to play a key role in shaping the AI industry ecosystem, given its extensive experience in the data copyright distribution industry.
A BQAI representative stated, "We are making significant efforts not only to provide high-quality data, but also to develop AI technologies and offer solutions to copyright issues," and added, "With this venture company certification, we have proven our proprietary technological capabilities, and we will continue to drive innovation and maximize our growth potential by developing a wide range of AI services in the future."
