"Charging Time Significantly Reduced"... Kia Launches 2025 Bongo III Electric Truck

Charging Time Significantly Reduced from 47 Minutes to 32 Minutes
Driving Range Increased by 6km to 217km

Kia launched the 1-ton electric truck '2025 Bongo Ⅲ EV' on April 22, featuring reduced charging times and increased driving range.

The 2025 Bongo Ⅲ EV offers improvements in practicality and convenience, including ▲reduced fast charging time ▲enhanced driving range per charge ▲improved battery ground clearance ▲the addition of lighting to the charging port.

To improve the charging speed of the previous Bongo Ⅲ EV, Kia increased the thickness of the high-voltage cable wiring to boost charging current. As a result, the fast charging time from 10% to 80% battery capacity has been significantly reduced from 47 minutes to 32 minutes (based on 150kW fast charging).

The 2025 Bongo Ⅲ EV is equipped with a new 60.4kWh high-voltage lithium-ion battery with enhanced energy density, securing a driving range of 217km per charge, an increase of 6km compared to the previous model.

Additionally, for drivers who frequently travel on unpaved roads, the battery ground clearance has been raised by 10mm. An LED light has also been added to the top of the charging port to improve visibility during nighttime charging, further enhancing user convenience.

The 2025 Bongo electric vehicle is priced at 43.25 million won for the Smart Selection trim, 44.5 million won for the GL trim, and 46.15 million won for the GLS trim. With government and local subsidies, the actual selling price is expected to be in the mid-to-high 20 million won range.
