On April 21 (local time), the weekly Women's World Golf Rankings were released, with Ko earning 4.01 points and jumping two spots from 13th place last week. She accumulated ranking points by finishing tied for 7th at the JM Eagle LA Championship (total prize money: $3.75 million) of the LPGA Tour, which concluded the previous day at El Caballero Country Club (par 72, 6,679 yards) in Los Angeles, California. This marks her third top-10 finish of the year. Ko Jinyoung will compete in the Chevron Championship (total prize money: $7.9 million), the first major of the season, starting April 24.
